- Browser-readyCross-origin requests are allowed, so you can call it from a web page.
The Live Tap Lists Custom API gives you your live menu as JSON, so you can build it into anything: your own app, website, kiosk, or signage.
How does the Custom API work?
Activate Custom API on your Integrations page, add a connected menu, and choose which categories and fields it includes. Then request your menu by its code:
GET https://connect.livetaplists.com/menu?code=YOUR_MENU_CODE
The response lists your chosen categories, each with its active items and the fields you selected. Inactive items are left out, and lastUpdated tells you when the menu last changed.
What does a response look like?
An example response, with illustrative values:
{
"code": "ABC",
"name": "Taproom",
"lastUpdated": "2026-10-11T18:04:00.000Z",
"categories": [
{
"name": "Beer",
"items": [
{ "title": "Hazy IPA", "abv": "6.5%", "ibu": "40", "sizes": [ { "size": "16oz", "price": "7" } ] }
]
}
]
}
Why use the API?
Your menu already lives in Live Tap Lists, often synced from your POS. The API means your custom app or display uses the same menu as your TVs, print menus, website, and QR menus, with nothing to keep in sync by hand.
Custom API integration FAQ
What is the Live Tap Lists Custom API?
A read-only JSON endpoint that returns your current Live Tap Lists menu, so you can show it in your own app, website, kiosk, or digital signage.
How do I call it?
Send a GET request to https://connect.livetaplists.com/menu?code=YOUR_MENU_CODE. Your menu code is shown on the Connected Menus page after you activate Custom API and add a connected menu.
What does the response include?
The menu code, menu name, last updated time, and your chosen categories. Each category lists its active items with a title and the optional fields you selected.
Which fields can I include?
Tap numbers, images, a second image, short descriptions, long descriptions, more details, ABV, IBU, brewery, and sizes and prices.
Does the API stay up to date?
Yes. It reads your live menu every time, returns only active items, and includes the time your menu was last updated, including changes synced from your POS.
Can I call it from a web page?
Yes. The endpoint allows cross-origin requests, so you can fetch it directly from browser JavaScript.
