Unlimited, Flexible Beer Menus

· 2 min read

From client feedback, I have learned that flexibility is key.

Every brewery has different needs, and Live Tap Lists adapts to fit those needs and fulfill our mission of saving brewery owners time and money by providing a single platform to manage all their menus.

What if you want a bunch of menus?

A single brewery might have the need for all sorts of menu options, like the following.

Digital Menu Boards

  • Vertically oriented digital menu board with half your beers on the left side of the bar

  • Vertically oriented digital menu board with the other half of your beers on the right side fo the bar

  • Horizontally oriented digital menu board with just your “to-go” cans near the cooler

  • Horizontally oriented digital menu board with a slideshow of upcoming events

  • Vertically oriented board with multiple pages that shows all your items at the patio bar

Print Menus

  • Print menu with just their drinks

  • Print menu with just their food

Website Menus

  • Embedded menu with beers on the beers web page

  • Embedded menu with food on the food web page

  • Embedded menu with merchandise on their merchandise web page

That’s 5 digital menu boards, 2 print menus, and 3 website menus

How to create More menus

It’s easy to create another menu and modify its configuration.

The Menu Items page in the Live Tap Lists dashboard with a table of drinks showing active and faded toggles, tap number, image, and category

Step One

Make sure all your items are added in the “Menu Items” page

Step Two

Decide if you want to create a Digital Menu Board, a Print Menu, or a Website-embedded Menu, and navigate to that page of your dashboard (Boards, Print, or Web)

The Boards page header with the board selector and the Create Board button, its arrow menu open to Create new board, Create promo board, and Duplicate this board

Step Three

You’re looking at an existing menu. To start a new one from scratch, click “Create Board”, “Create Print Menu” or “Create Web Menu”. To copy the menu you’re looking at instead, click the arrow next to that button and choose “Duplicate this board” (or print menu, or web menu).

The board dropdown open, listing Beer Menu, Beer & Wine Board, To Go, My New Menu Name, Brunch Drinks, and Merch Area

Step Four

Now you have multiple menus in your menu dropdown. You can switch between them.

The board editor with Board Settings and its Internal Name field at the top, followed by the Content and Look sections

Step Five

Give your new menu a name to remember how it is used

Step Six

Make your changes and save. On a board, the editor is split into Content (what to show, header, and promos) and Look (theme, brand color, layout, and screen orientation). A board made with “Create Board” starts on the Taproom theme; pick another under Look, and choose its categories under What to show. See how board themes work.

You can now use this menu by displaying it with the TV Code, printing it, or embedding it on your website with your embed code.
